Meeting of the Women's Network of the Rasina District was held in Vrnjacka Banja last weekend

At the second annual meeting of the Women's Network of the Rasina District, held from November 10 to 12 in Vrnjacka Banja, attended by 27 activists from six town districts, activities were considered between the two meetings, from May to November of the current year and the plan for the next period.

In the previous period, education was organized to provide support to women who survived male domestic violence for activists from Trstenik, Brus and Cicevac, at least 10 tribunes in rural settlements on SOS support were held, 3 trainings for representatives of institutions on coordinated action for combat violence, self-help groups were introduced and representation of beneficiaries on the court and a fundraising action was taken to establish an Emergency Support Fund for Women.
A campaign to protect women against violence is underway, "I've been drawing enough. Apply the law! "

At the meetings with the highest representatives of local administrations, the situation of women's rights in the district was considered, a Women's Rights Map was created and presented at the Gender Equality Conference at the local level, which was organized in May 2017 in Belgrade by the Permanent Conference of Towns and Municipalities. Again, an initiative was announced to proclaim the Day of Remembrance to the May Protests of citizens in 1999 Against Mobilization.
The network co-operated with national networks, Women Against Violence and Women in Black, on security issues. During the summer, contacts were established with the Association of Women of Kosovska Mitrovica for Human Rights, and the aim of the cooperation is the greater influence of women on the European integration of the region and the negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina.

In connection with further activities of the Women's Network of the Rasina District, it is planned to continue efforts to increase the capacity of women's organizations that are threatened by violence and other forms of discrimination, encourage female self-organization and consider the needs and priorities of women; new meetings have been planned with officials on concrete measures to improve the quality of life of citizens, workshops with women in rural settlements on how to recognize and report violence in the family ...
