On September 7th we were guests of the Kosovo Women's Network and participated in the talks on the policy and support of the European Union to the civil sector, primarily for women's groups.
It was concluded that the European Commission's report on progress in association and application of European standards must contain much more information and insights on the state of gender equality, the position of women and their real life in this region.European Union support for women's groups must be stronger, financially, both in terms of dealing with the topic of women's position and communication with women's groups.
From September 11th to 13th, we participated in a conference of organizations supported by the OAK Foundation, organized in Sarajevo by the Trail Foundation "Empowering women's organizations and movements to fight violence: new perspectives and performance measurement" and on which were discussed further strategic plans of organizations, strengthening of women's activism and work on combating violence against women.
Activists from Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia participated in the Conference.
From September 14 to 16, we participated at the regular annual meeting of Women in Black Network in Vrnjacka Banja, which, apart from Serbia, brought together activists from Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as guests from Slovenia, Spain and Germany. At the meeting of the Network, we had the opportunity, among other things, to find out how the women's movement in Spain appeared, as well as the position of women in that country, while the guests from Slovenia and Germany spoke about the experiences of working with refugees from war-affected areas.
During the weekend 15-17th. September, a meeting of the Women Against Violence Network was held in Belgrade, where, as a member of the Network, we also had a representative.
It was about the activities and decentralization of the Network. The results of the evaluation of the Network's work, carried out by the Trag Foundation, were also presented.
In the period from September 18th to 22th, activists from organization participated in a study visit to Vienna with a focus on gender-based violence against women organized by the Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation. The stay in Vienna was organized within the framework of the regional program: Strengthening Women's Rights, Participation and Impact of Women in the Western Balkans, which is being implemented by the Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation.
