During September 2017. , In street actions in Brus and Trstenik, we distributed informative material about the violence against women to citizens, the support provided by SOS services and new legal solutions to prevent this type of violence. On the World Day of Peace on September 21th, we organized a stand in protest of the shameful behavior of governments and states against people who lost everything under the slogan "Stop the war, not the refugees!".
The Women's Association Pescanik also implemented a number of other actions in order to draw public attention to the roles of violence against women, discrimination against women, facing the past and marking important dates from women's and peace history. Some of the actions were carried out in other cities in the Rasinski district, in cooperation with the organizations Caliope, Una, Z kao zena I kao Zupa and Romani cikna.
In the actions of the Women's Association Pescanik, participants were also members of the Women's War Crimes Tribunal in Yugoslavia, Women in Black Network from several cities of Serbia and Women Against Violence Network, Alternative Center for Girls from Krusevac and Center for Girls from Nis.
In street actions, we asked, among other things, to proclaim on May 18th a day of remembrance of women victims of male violence, which the Serbian government did.
To local self-governments, we have directed the initiative to announce the 24th of May on the day of the memory of the May protests against mobilization in Krusevac and the Rasina district.
